Q. Once a unit is installed, what maintenance does it require ?
To ensure the unit works to its full potential and you get the
maximum benefit there is a weekly care procedure, which needs to
be carried out. We provide the instructions so that the air filters
can be cleaned – a simple and quick process
Q. Can they go anywhere in the office/building ?
The monobloc units are required to placed next to a window so that
the warm air hose can discharge the heat from the room outside through
the window or ventilation system
Q. How big is the warm air hose used for discharging the heat ?
The size ranges from 130mm up to 160 diameters on larger units.
Fish tails and other fittings are provided as required to ensure
that the most efficient installation is provided.
Q. What power supply does a portable air
conditioning unit need ?
A normal 13 amp supply from a wall socket is all that is required.
Extension leads can always be used to ensure the unit is placed
where required.
Q. How many units would I need ?
That would depend on a number of factors, including room size,
electronic equipment used within the room etc. PCs and electronic
office equipment will produce heat which will add to room temperature.
We are happy to provide free advice over the phone to estimate the
number of units and the type of air conditioning you are likely
to require.
Q. How long or short can I rent them for ?
Hire can be agreed for a daily or weekly basis for a special event
or any temporary cover. We also provide monthly and even yearly
hire to cover your business or long term server room requirements.
Q. Could you deliver out of ‘normal’
office hours ?
We can offer this service if your business needs dictate. Installation
however is always carried out with minimum disruption.
Q. Who takes responsibility for the safekeeping of the units we’ve
hired ?
Other than normal wear and tear, you are responsible for any loss
or damage once the units are installed. Should there be complete
loss of a unit then this will be taken into account on your order.
During the hire of the portable unit/s and until collection or despatch
to us, their safekeeping is your responsibility.
Q. Can I move them to another building/location ?
This is possible providing we are informed and agree to the move
in advance. You will need to fax or email us to give us details
of any movement proposed.
When the units are collected at the end of the hire, they will be
collected from the original location or as agreed.
Q. When we no longer need the units how do
we finish the hire and get them removed ?
The period that you wish to hire affects the cost charged for the
service, providing that you have hired for the minimum agreed period
then you may finish the hire or choose to continue hiring at the
same rate until it is no longer needed. To terminate the hire you
need to notify by email, fax or letter then the contract will be
concluded. Hire periods are in full weeks. We will collect the unit/s
shortly afterwards, at a pre-agreed time and the units collected
from your premises.
